Asking for donations to Church Army instead of presents is an inspiring way for family and friends, to come together, to mark your special occasion and at the same time help us to help the most broken, hurting and marginalised in our society, to bring God’s transforming love and hope.
How can you make a gift in celebration?
You can set up a JustGiving page, which you can personalise with photographs, videos, stories and memories, which you can then share with family and friends.
Make a one off donation
Send your donation in the post, by cheque, to Church Army, Wilson Carlile Centre, 50 Cavendish Street, Sheffield, S3 7RZ.
Have a Church Army collection box at your celebration.
We can send you our giving envelopes to give out at your celebration, allowing your family and friends to make a private donation and where appropriate also allowing us to collect Gift Aid – increasing the gift by 25% at no cost to the donor.
Invite your guests to buy your gifts through the Give as you Live scheme, allowing a sum to be donated to us.
Organise some fundraising for us at your celebration.
Whichever way you decide to help you will be making a real difference to the work we do and the lives of the people we work with. Thank you!

Thank you for thinking of Church Army at this time.
At a time of loss family and friends want to do something to help and asking people to donate to a cause that meant something to that person is a lasting and meaningful way to remember them.
We are so grateful for all the gifts we receive and gifts given in memory of our supporters mean so much because often they are a reflection of the support they have given us during their lifetime.
In memory donations help us to help those on the margins of society, the vulnerable and the needy, to bring practical help and show God’s transforming love and hope.
Arranging a collection
If you are planning to make a collection for Church Army at a funeral or memorial service, we can provide giving envelopes to make the process easier. Just call us on 0300 123 2113 or email email@example.com.
Collection through funeral directors
Most funeral directors will make a collection on your behalf and forward donations directly to us, with a list of contributors and gifts.
Please note that all In Memory donations will receive a letter of thanks (unless requested otherwise) and, where contact details are given, next of kin or other family member will receive a personal letter. We do not disclose amounts of individual gifts.
Set up a tribute fund
Set up a tribute fund through JustGiving which you can share with family and friends, allowing them to make a donation online. The fund can be personalised with stories and photographs.

We will write to say thank you for all the donations we receive letting you know how much has been raised in total. Where contact details are provided we will also write a personal letter to the individual who has given.
On this page we remember with thanks those where money has been donated in their memory, as a reminder of those who have faithfully supported Church Army and so we can give thanks for their lives.
